Myofascial Release

The term “myo” refers to muscle, and “fascia” to band. Fascia is a 3D web of elastin and collagen fibres that surrounds and protects all tissues, muscles, bones, ligaments, and organs. In a healthy state, fascia is flexible and dynamic, able to stretch and move without restriction. However, stress, trauma, or poor posture can cause it to tighten and become restricted, leading to issues like headaches, back pain, and muscle spasms.

Myofascial release techniques aim to relieve this tension through slow, oil-free movements that fully engage the fascia. Because the fascial network is interconnected, working on one area can affect another. Treatment needs vary, but noticeable improvements are often seen within two to three sessions.
