Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini workshop 10am to 3pm last Sunday of April – 27th April 2025.

Kundalini Yoga is an ancient spiritual practice that combines physical postures (asanas) , breath control (pranayama), meditation, chanting (mantras), and the awakening of energy in the body to promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

The practice is centred around the concept of *Kundalini*, which is believed to be a dormant spiritual energy located at the base of the spine. Through specific movements and techniques, Kundalini Yoga aims to awaken this energy, allowing it to rise through the chakras (energy centres) of the body, ultimately leading to higher consciousness, self-awareness, and spiritual enlightenment.

Kundalini Yoga is accessible to people of all backgrounds and abilities.

Please wear comfortable clothing. We will stop for 40 mins around lunchtime. Although there are many cafes around the area, you are welcome to bring your own lunch.

Meridian Massage - 90mins

This treatment is a unique fusion created from both Eastern and Western energy and bodywork techniques.  If you’re feeling low in energy, anxious, ungrounded or perhaps having digestion problems, and you also have physical tension that you want released, this completely holistic healing experience will leave you feeling rebalanced, rejuvenated and restored in mind, body and spirit.

Shiatsu - 60 mins

Shiatsu, meaning “finger pressure” is an ancient Japanese healing therapy.  It uses much of the same energy points as acupuncture but instead of needles, pressure is applied using thumbs, palms and forearms as well as some stretching and mobilisation of joints.

The aim is to disperse areas of excess energy and replenish areas of deficiency, resulting in bringing the body back into balance. It’s a deeply relaxing therapy where the client remains fully clothed as there’s no use of oil.

Shiatsu is particularly effective for clients experiencing pain, stiffness, digestive issues, menstrual problems, headaches, insomnia, anxiety and depression as it addresses not just the physical but the mental, emotional and energetic bodies too.

Bowen Technique - 60 mins

Bowen Technique is a system of remedial bodywork where gentle rolling techniques are applied over the skin to various stress-loading points on the body.

The technique’s subtle and non-intrusive nature makes it an ideal treatment choice for those living with Fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s or anyone with chronic pain or acute injuries. It can help with problems in the jaw, neck, shoulder (including Frozen Shoulder), RSI, hip, back, sciatic pain, pelvic imbalances, migraines, allergies and digestive issues.

What’s unique about a Bowen session is that in between the moves, the Therapist leaves the room for a few minutes at a time in order to allow the client’s system a chance to react and respond.  This time and space ensures the system isn’t overloaded and that healing happens in the way, in the order and in the timeframe that the body wants.
